Holy Family, Southport: The Organ

View of the organ looking towards the back of the church from the Main Altar. The Rushworfh & Draper Console

Situated on the Choir Gallery at the west end of the church, this organ is one of the more recent editions to the church, superceding the small two manual chamber organ. Removed from St Peter's in Seal Street, Liverpool by the organ builder, Syd Reeves, this Rushworth & Draper organ was cleaned, renovated and reassembled in two halves rather than the original whole, the swell on the left and the great on the right.

The console of the elecric action organ. The 25 or so individual ranks of pipes allow the organ to be effective in all liturgical situations, the 8' Tromba on the Great being particulary effective for processional fanfares!
